Electric heaters are a great heating solution for a single room. They are mostly portable and very easy to operate and so they are very popular for bedrooms or other small rooms that do not have as much heat as would be liked. They can even heat a room that has no other heating but in this case you will need a powerful electric heater, the amount of power that they have varies quite allot so bear that in mind when you buy an electric heater.
There are many different types of electric heater but most are quite similar in that they are portable and so easy to move to the place that needs warmth. There are oil filled radiators that are pre-filled with oil and these produce some excellent heat as the oil stays hot for a long time after the power has been turned off (and most automatically turn the power off when the desired temperature has been reached). There are then panel and convector heaters which are larger but as they have a larger surface area they can produce more heat and there are also other small electric heaters such as fan and halogen heaters and these are both excellent as they produce good warmth and are cheap to run.
There are also lots of features to look out for when you buy an electric heater. The more temperature settings it has the better as this gives you more control over the heat that is being produced and many also have a timer so that you can have the electric heater come on at a specific time and this is wonderful as you can set the heater to come on before you get home so that the room is nice and warm. Also look for a heater that has an automatic cut-off point so that they cannot become too hot and a decent guarantee is always good as this gives you a nice piece of mind.
